The DUB-Lite® swivel has the ability to pivot at either end. This allows the swivel to best distribute side loads applied to it. The swivel permits rotation of the drill pipe while protecting the utility from twisting. All mechanical components are manufactured from high strength alloy steel and are designed to withstand a straight tensile load of at least 3 times the safe working limit.

For Medium to Heavy Duty HDD Applications

The DUB-Swivel® is specifically designed for directional drilling applications. It is intended for coupling the reamer head to the utility being pulled back. The swivel permits rotation of the drill pipe while protecting the utility from twisting. The DUB-Swivel® bearings are designed to provide a life span in excess of 700 hours. All mechanical components are manufactured from high strength alloy steel and are designed to withstand a straight tensile load of at least 5 times the save working limit.

This one-piece shaft and clevis is designed especially for extreme conditions with 4145 high strength heat treated steel. Our maxi HDD swivel line incorporates the highly regarded “SKF explorer spherical roller thrust bearing.” This bearing design achieves a high thrust capacity with a low friction and continuous roller alignment. This bearing type along with two radial alignment bearings is ideal for operating conditions that experience heavy loads, difficulty in establishing or maintaining housing alignment, or shaft deflection. Radial load bearings on either end of the rotating shaft extend the performance life of the swivel.
